Yes, this is narcissistic/ BPD game and it works with codependents.
Before all the nawalt and crap comes in, most people are codependents, most women are, most beta men (most men) are. All it takes is a high value person treats you like shit and you become a codependent. Unless you’re a narcissist too, then you take high offense and burn bridges. If you’re a BPD then you’ll strike back and keep increasing the drama (think most romance stories at some point, vampire diaries, soap operas). Or unless you’re a high value / healthy boundaries person, which is almost nobody.
